Specializing in both dumplings and ramen, this cozy restaurant is quickly becoming a beloved spot for locals craving bold flavors and satisfying meals.
The menu is a vibrant celebration of textures and tastes. One standout is their Black And Gold Molten Lava Buns, an indulgent treat boasting a molten black and gold filling that effortlessly melts in your mouth—a true feast for the senses. For those who prefer a delightful crunch, the Walnut Buns marry soft, pillowy dough with a pleasantly nutty filling that adds a satisfying contrast. If you’re in the mood for something crispy, the Golden Fried Buns deliver a perfectly golden exterior that crackles with each bite.
BaoBao’s ramen offerings are equally impressive. The Black Garlic Ramen is a garlic lover’s dream, loaded with roasted pork, fried garlic, and a rich broth that lingers with savory warmth. Alternatively, the Vegetable Ramen, featuring a flavorful veggie broth with tofu, bean sprouts, and bamboo shoots, offers a fresh yet deeply satisfying vegetarian option. The ramen bowls are hearty, comforting, and packed with layers of flavor that make each spoonful a delight.
Start your culinary journey with their diverse appetizers like the crispy Crab Rangoon or the delicate Sesame Balls that tease the palate with their sweet, textured crunch. Fans of tender, juicy bites will appreciate the Popcorn Chicken, reminiscent of Taiwanese nuggets, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo.

If you're looking for a cozy Chinese spot in Tulsa, you might want to add Bao Bao Dumpling and Ramen to your rotation. Located just off 71st and Memorial, it’s easy to miss among the many smoke shops, but it’s definitely worth seeking out. I visited around 7 PM on a Wednesday, and despite a fairly full dining room, I was seated quickly and served promptly. The interior is clean and orderly, and the staff is warm, attentive, and happy to make recommendations. One standout suggestion? The Black Garlic Ramen. This dish features a rich, flavorful broth, tender noodles, braised pork, shiitake mushrooms, corn, scallions, and boiled eggs. The black garlic added a sweet, umami flavor. Presentation was thoughtfully done and visually appetizing. You can also choose your spice level, which is a welcome touch for those who enjoy a bit of heat. At $15.99, the Black Garlic Ramen is a solid value, especially for a dish packed with this much flavor. My only personal note is that while brothy dishes are satisfying in the moment, I often find myself getting hungry again sooner than with heavier fare, but I know that’s just the nature of ramen. Parking, while not impossible, can be a bit of a hassle when it's busy, you may need to walk a bit from an adjacent lot. Final Verdict: Bao Bao Dumpling and Ramen is a hidden gem with flavor-packed dishes and an inviting atmosphere. It’s definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to Chinese restaurants in Tulsa. I’ll be back.

The food was good. I tried their wonton ramen. The broth was chicken based. It was creamy and spicy. You can choose how spicy it comes, I picked a 5 and with was good enough for me. This was a good sized portion it definitely was filling. I also tried their bbq pork buns. The filling was good but i definitely got a lot more bun than the actual filling. They are served in 3s and these were all the same. The place itself is a bit crowded but there is enough space to get through the tables.

We ordered three items shown in the pictures. Although all three filings are pork based, all favors are different but very good. The soup dumplings are steamingly hot and very juicy. I grow up eating soup dumplings. I can confirm they are authentic. Pan fried buns are also filled with soup. They are very delicious. The ramen noodles portion size is quite generous. We end up having to take some home. We will definitely come back again.

Food was fantastic. I had the black garlic ramen and it was soo good. They did not shy on the garlic and we had red bean buns and pork dumplings. Service was great and very minimal. Took our order upfront and brought the food was all that was needed.

As per the Doctor’s recommendation, I ordered the Beef Ramen. It was very good, The beef; lean, tender, and pleasantly seasoned. A little more spiciness wouldn’t have bothered me at all. My wife went with the Shanghai Style Chicken Chow Mein. It didn’t have much flavor and was too oily for her liking. We kept a copy of the menu at the table to study the meal options. She had noticed Orange Chicken had been added to the menu in handwriting. She wished that she had ordered that. Order at the counter and pay at the counter. Grab your soda from the cooler before you sit down. Your food is delivered to your table. I like the open kitchen. You can view the cooks as they prepare the food. Any strange animals are probably executed out away from the public view. It appeared to be a well ran operation. A previous reviewer noted that on his visit, the restaurant had a malodorous fragrance. They must have addressed the problem. It was clean and odor free today. Eventually we will be back to try the restaurant’s namesake specialty, the little steamed bags and buns, of meat and vegetables. The Beef Ramen…very good!

The atmosphere was cute & the lobby was clean. As soon as we walked in we received paper menus & picked out our table. Once we figured out everything we were wanting to order we walked back up to the front counter to place the order & pay. We chose the custard, BBQ pork, veggie & red bean boa buns which were all great! We also ordered veggie dumplings, spring rolls & the veggie lo mein. Everything was great, but our absolute fav was the red bean buns! They had a water dispenser at the front to get free water & they also had a fridge that had a variety of Japanese sodas, regular soda, Hawaiian juices & tea. The staff were friendly & everything was fresh to order. Can't wait to go back to try their ramen & other options!

Bao Bao was impressive. Great to see the growing variety of Asian food options, and Bao Bao is a standout. The ingredients were fresh, service was good. The atmosphere was just okay, maybe just not my style, the delicious, high-quality food more than made up for it. Was cool to see into kitchen and the fresh made dumplings. Bao Bao is recommended and will be back.

Love this place!! We’ve been looking forward to a soup dumpling place opening up in Tulsa and this place did not disappoint. We had the crab and pork soup dumplings, pork lumpia, and the popcorn chicken (similar to Taiwanese nuggets). The soup dumplings were perfection. I would say that I’ve had better lumpia but still pretty good. The popcorn chicken was great too but wish it was spicy. The food came out fast and you can see the chefs make it. We’ll be coming back!
